T.C. Zhao, Ph.D. - Director of Visualization Technology & Architecture
T.C. is the chief architect of the AquariusNET server, the concept which ushered in a new era of enterprise 3D image management for CT and MR. The AquariusNET technology provides for a shared central server to enable multiple concurrent thin-client PCs in a medical enterprise to display, interact, and manipulate large CT and MR data using the Intranet or Internet. Thus, AquariusNET enables efficient workflow for large CT studies, especially CTA examinations made possible with multi-slice CT scanners. T.C. joined TeraRecon when the Real-Time Visualization division of Mitsubishi Electric where he worked previously was acquired by TeraRecon in 2001. The Real Time Visualization team developed the world’s first real-time volume rendering board, which TeraRecon has subsequently developed further. Prior to Mitsubushi, TC worked at General Electric Medical Systems, where he was on the scientific design team for the Lightspeed CT scanner.

Sha He, M.S. - Senior Clinical Software Engineer
Sha is a key author of clinical software modules and application development for TeraRecon’s Aquarius products. Sha has over 11 years experience in 3D medical imaging, gained both at TeraRecon, and previously during 6 years in the department of radiology of Beijing Fuwai Hospital, where he developed pioneering software techniques for cardiovascular CT. Sha graduated from the department of biomedical engineering of Zhejiang University, and has an M.S. degree in computer science from the University of Science and Technology of China.

Hongwei Tang, M.D. - Clinical Application Specialist
Hongwei provides strong clinical contributions to TeraRecon’s product development and leads our clinical support team for China. Hongwei is a radiologist who specialized in cardiac imaging for 3 years at Beijing Fuwai Hospital prior to joining TeraRecon. Hongwei received her M.D. degree from Peking Medical College, along with B.S. and M.S. degrees in medical imaging from China Medical University. Hongwei has extensive experience with the clinical application of advanced 3D techniques, and many imaging modalities including CT, MR, and ultrasound.
