Untitled design (3)Let’s face it, RSNA is an important time of year as you seek out opportunities to advance your health system and find new products and vendors that can help you achieve that goal. Just as it is an important time for vendors that are vying for your interest – yours and 50,000 others’ interest.

Vendors from across the world will be setting up this November in the McCormick Center in Chicago, Illinois to try and capture as wide an audience as possible. They will all be making strides to grow market share in their respective fields, and as such will be making every effort to maximize their time with guests and meetings. While vendors will be at the convention all week, you may only have a few keys days at the show. Make sure you’re also planning your time wisely especially when there is so much to see and do at the convention! Here are our top 5 tips for planning your visit to the RSNA exhibitor hall.

How to Best Plan Out Your Exhibitor Hall Visit

  1. Plan Out Your Entire Schedule for RSNA: You can find our advice on how to make sure you get the most out of RSNA in our blog post"RSNA 2018 Checklist: Preparing for the year’s largest radiology convention"
  2. Optimize Your Time by Pre-Booking Your Demo: Attempt to optimize the amount of time you spend in each area of the convention hall by making sure you don’t have to wait to speak to a representative. You can do this by pre-booking a vendor representative for the time that you will be in that area of the convention hall. Undoubtedly there will be overlapping times of presentations and technical exhibits, so it is vastly important that you don’t waste your time waiting for someone to become available to answer questions.
  3. Think About what You Want to Ask the Vendor Beforehand: Your time is valuable and to make sure that you get the most out of your meeting time, preparing a list of questions or topics you would like to discuss with the vendor can help drive the conversation as well as make sure that you don’t miss asking something important.
  4. Research Each Vendor Before Your Meeting: Many of the vendors will be unveiling new products and tools so it is important to do some research beforehand and get as many of your questions answered as possible. In addition, you may want to add on additional time to your demo to check out their newest products without feeling rushed.
  5. If You are Already a Customer: With pre-booked demo times also come some hidden advantages if you are already a customer of the vendor. If you take the time to schedule a meeting with the vendor, they will almost certainly be more willing to listen to changes that you recommend. In turn they will be more apt to ask you for recommendations on how to improve.

Remember, pre-booked times are your time; no one will be interrupting because this is the time that you scheduled to have your needs taken care of.
