­TeraRecon Appoints Sorenson CEO and Accelerates R&D Investment

Foster City, CA – July 11th, 2016: TeraRecon, (www.terarecon.com), a leader in advanced visualization, enterprise medical image viewing and image sharing solutions, today announced the appointment of Jeff Sorenson to the position of CEO and member of the company’s Board of Directors.  In addition, the company added two new executive leadership positions and opened a new R&D facility in Research Triangle Park (RTP) in North Carolina.

In recent months, TeraRecon appointed Dave MacCutcheon as Vice President of Product Management and Pratik Nanavati as Vice President of Software Development.  Both bring many years of experience and expertise in Healthcare IT software development, specifically in the areas of Overlay PACS™ Viewing technologies, advanced visualization and agile software development.  Additionally, TeraRecon appointed Walter Müller as General Manager of TeraRecon EMEA.  Walter brings a history of strong operational and sales leadership across several industry leading medical device companies.  He is based out of the company’s Frankfurt office and his appointment is an extension of new growth initiatives into the EMEA region.

The new space in the RTP will also provide for an expansion of the company’s sales and customer support teams to enhance the customer experience.  The new office space is located at 4309 Emperor Boulevard, Research Triangle Park, Durham, NC.
